Ruby Queen is an early maturing beetroot variety with has round, delicious roots. Like most beetroot, this variety can be boiled, pickled, baked or frozen for later on. This variety of beetroot has a smooth rich burgundy coloured skin and a rich coloured flesh that is buttery to the taste. Whilst all beetroot are best picked early, this variety will not become woody and unpleasant tasting if left longer. Leaves can be harvested at any time.
