ORANGE TOMATOES

Did you know that tomatoes were originally orange in colour? It is true.

Over the years, we have tended to prefer the red varieties that have been bred, but you can still find orange tomatoes today, and they are usually quite sweet and tasty and more disease resistant!

The other bonus is that birds tend to leave them alone, because they are looking for red tomatoes, the red colour being the signal to the birds that the fruit is ripe.

My favourite orange tomatoes would be the Jaune Flamme and the Orange Cherry.
